Dennis Day began performing on the Jack Benny Program In 1939. He was the young and naïve pain in the back side character with an amazing singing voice. Dennis was on the show from 1939 – 1944 when he took 2 years off while serving time in the US Navy. He returned to the Jack Benny Program in 1946 and also starred in his own old time radio program, A Day In the life of Dennis Day, which ran from 1946 – 1951.
